". . . all we want is a chance" --- Poll Opens Today!

Joshua Davis, 19, has been living in the woods near Panama City, Florida looking for work since he was 18 years old.  (Credit; News Herald, Panama City, FL. 2/2/11).  In this article, he says,
"I just want people to know that there are young people that are homeless and that all we want is a chance; somebody that can offer us help."
And so with your help and Joshua's prayer, we want to do just that; give some child a chance.
Maybe you're excited about Genesis Shelter (Atlanta area) and the newborns and families that it serves.  Maybe your heart is drawn to School on Wheels (Los Angeles area) serving homeless kids as they try to keep up in school.  Perhaps you are thinking Stride (Denver area) serving families in their attempt to find the path to self-sufficiency.  All three organizations are deeply dedicated to homeless youth and families.

So there's no graphics today.  Nothing to dress up the issue.  It's time to get serious.  It's time to vote.  Beginning today (May 25, 2011) at 12:00 Noon, CDT and ending on June 8, 2011 at 12:00 Noon CDT, you can cast your ballot to determine which organization will receive the Responsible Referrals donation of $1,000.00.  If you're registered, you will receive a ballot by email.  You will only be able to vote once.  If you're not registered, we are pleading with you to do so.
