Responsible Referrals - Worth a Good Look!

Recently I checked the National Association of Realtors website looking for the latest statistics on home sales. As a guide, The U.S. Economic Outlook dated August, 2011 has some information relevant to our goals.

1. Estimates indicate that overall, sales units will see a very minor increase in 2011 with somewhere between 5 and 6% in the year following.  So in 2011, the estimates say approximately 5 million sales units will close.

2. The median sales price (1/2 above, 1/2 below) will hover around $170,000 for existing home sales and $226,000 for new construction homes.  This varies by region, of course.  But nevertheless, even in a sluggish economy, the Guaranteed Donation Program can make a huge difference!

Looking at June, 2011 in the Local Real Estate Market Reports with Zillow.com, I've calculated donation examples for a few States:

CALIFORNIA
*    51,092 June sales with an average price of $305,000.
**  If supporters, volunteers, staff and friends of your nonprofit accounted for just 10 of the 51,092 sales in June, the Responsible Referrals donation check would have been written for nearly $10,000.00

FLORIDA
*    39,986 June sales with an average sales price of $138,000.
**   If supporters, volunteers, staff and friends of your nonprofit accounted for just 10 of the nearly 40,000 sales in June, the Responsible Referrals donation check would have been $4,000.00

GEORGIA
*    14,560 June sales with an average price of $162,900
**  If supporters, volunteers, staff and friends of your nonprofit accounted for just 10 of the 14,560 sales in June, the Responsible Referrals donation check would have been $5,750.00

MINNESOTA
*     5,709 sales in June with an average price of $182,200.
**   If supporters, volunteers, staff and friends of your nonprofit accounted for just 10 of the 5,700 sales in June, the Responsible Referrals donation check would have been for $5,750.00

PENNSYLVANIA
*    10,969 June sales with an average price of $160,400.
**   If supporters, volunteers, staff and friends of your nonprofit accounted for just 10 of the nearly 11,000 sales in June, the Responsible Referrals donation check would have been $5,000.00

I can calculate your state too if you'd like!  If you are a nonprofit serving homeless kids and families, a good look at this program is worth the time.  If one nonprofit in each state listed above had accomplished the 10 sales that were calculated, Responsible Referrals would have donated over $30,000 in JUNE ALONE!

So if you're a nonprofit - don't wait!  Call us now!  As a permanent program, this could be just the annuity you need to get you through these difficult times.  It's free, it's easy and it won't use a great deal of your limited resources.

If you have a favorite nonprofit serving the homeless kids and families in and around your city, tell them about us.  They'll be glad you did!

  2. Hi Sarah. According to the Missouri Association of Realtors, there were 5,356 sales in June with a median price of $121,987. Guaranteed Donations based on these numbers would have been $3,750. The average price was $151,439 which would change the donation based on sales price to $5,000. The entire report can be found at http://www.missourirealtor.org/content/upload/AssetMgmt/Stats/0611%20Stats.pdf
    Thanks!
